Mark Wilson Honors Texarkana, AR Police Department with Generous Donation

The REACH Foundation has recognized Officer Peyton Harris and made a generous donation on his behalf to the entire police department. Mark Wilson, co-founder of REACH, presented a check to Texarkana,AR Police Department for $7,500 to support and help continue their programs of “Shop With A Cop” and P.R.I.D.E. Program in honor of Harris. For the past nineteen years, Texarkana police have provided a shopping spree for 100 children as part of the "Shop With A Cop" program.

A daring rescue by a Harris early last year has led REACH to reward his act of heroism. Officer Peyton Harris' selfless act happened in February 2012, when he put his life on the line to save a woman who was trapped in a burning house.

Mark Wilson says he praises the "work the Texarkana Police Department is doing to help children in need, children who have lost hope, and show them there is hope and there are people who care about them."
