Shop With A Cop Reaches Over 100 Children This Holiday!

We are so proud to say that we were able to double our outreach and expand to 2 Target stores this holiday season. Words cannot express how thankful we are! Shop With A Cop was such an amazing event in both Milford and Southington. We had over 100 participating police officers from departments all over CT and over 100 children from all over CT as well. Thank you to all CT Law Enforcement, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event a huge success! We were able to make an impact on these children's lives and we cannot thank you enough for believing in our mission, "If in only one life, make a difference."

If you haven't seen photos yet from Shop With A Cop, be sure to check out our Facebook albums! For Milford, http://on.fb.me/1vLLXtZ and for Southington http://on.fb.me/16iX0pP.

Shop With A Cop Will Be Held December 9th!

Shop With A Cop is a one-on-one experience designed to have uniformed officers spend a day with underprivileged children while socializing, shopping, and providing guidance during the holiday season. The children will shop for their family as well as a children’s organization from the community where the police officer serves. This unique shopping experience for the children is an opportunity that deters them for choosing a life of crime or violence. The participating children are identified by schools, youth organizations, and social services agencies.
On December 9th, various local and state law enforcement officers will volunteer their time to give a child an unforgettable shopping experience. The event begins with a meet and greet dinner where the officer and children share a meal while getting to know each other. After spending time together, the children participate in a law enforcement procession with flashing lights and sirens to Target in Southington. At the store, the police officers help the children shop for themselves, their family, as well as a child from the community where the police officer serves.
