Yale Women’s Soccer Program in collaboration with The REACH Foundation come together to present an outreach event promoting non-violence in the community with respect to girls’ and women’s role in violent crimes.
Auditions will be held on Monday, October 6th at Reese Stadium (Tryon St, New Haven, CT) at Yale University between 3 pm-4:30 pm. Audition to sing the National Anthem at the Yale vs. Columbia Women's Soccer Game on November 1st, Yale Women's Soccer Community Outreach Day. Also, audition to be the halftime show! Singers, dancers, rappers, poets, actors, group performances, etc. bring your talents to audition to perform at halftime. All halftime performances must focus on women’s and/or girls’ role in violent crime. Performances must avoid profanity, obscenity, and derogatory languages or actions.
**Boys and girls must be between the ages of 12-21 and must state why they want to be involved in a day about non-violence for girls and women.
Yale Women's Soccer Community Outreach Day will be held on November 1, 2014. The schedule of the day will be as follows:
12:00 pm Meet at Yale
12:30 pm Pre-game meal with the Women’s Soccer Team (limited seats available)
2:00 pm Film/Panel presentation on Women’s and Girls’ roles in violent crime hosted by the US Attorney’s Office District of CT
4:00 pm Walk out on field with Women’s Soccer Team/National Anthem**
(sung by winners of audition*)
4:45 pm Halftime Talent Show (by winners of auditions*)
6:00 pm Conclusion of Community Outreach Day
** All compliant with NCAA rules. According to NCAA rules, high school students will not be able to walk on the field with the Team.
